Prerequisite: MATH 8

Grading: Weekly homework assignments will be given. Some problems will be to turn in and some problems will be for practice and in-class discussion. Problems to be turned in must be done so at the beginning of class. No late homework will be accepted. You will have one midterm and a final.

The weights are as follows:
Homework 25%
Midterm 35%
Final 40%

Make-Up Policy: If you should find yourself unable to take the midterm on the scheduled date, you may take it no more than 2 days prior to the scheduled date at a penalty of 10% per day. You may NOT take an exam late.

Special Days:
There will be no class on the following days:
Monday, November 11 (Veteran’s Day)
Friday, November 27 (Thanksgiving)
The midterm is tentatively scheduled for
Friday, October 30.
The last day of class is Friday, December 4.
The final exam is on
Thursday, December 10 from 8am until 11am.
