Course
Description: This course
will be an introduction to hyberbolic geometry. The only
prerequisite for this course is MATH 8.
Grading: Weekly
homework assignments will be given to be turned in each
Friday at the beginning of class.
No late homework will be accepted. You will have
a midterm and a final.
The weights are as follows:
Homework 25%
Midterm 35%
Final 40%
Make-Up
Policy: If you should
find yourself unable to take the midterm on the scheduled
date, you may take it no more than 2 days prior to the
scheduled date at a penalty of 10% per day.
Special
Days:
There will be no class on the following days:
Friday, October 17
Friday, November 28 (Thanksgiving break)
The midterm will be on Friday, October 31 (Boo!)
The last day of class is Friday, December 5.
The final exam is on Tuesday, December 9 from 8am until
11am.
