Course Description: This course will be an introduction to elementary knot theory. The majority of your grade will depend upon your attendance, participation, and your completion of any homework problem that I may assign. There will be NO exams or quizzes. As a result, your attendance is paramount! You will be allowed TWO “free” absences--no excuse necessary. However, every absence thereafter will negatively affect your grade in the following sense. On your third absence, your grade drops to an B, fourth absence to a C, and so on (remember, we only meet ten times).

This course is meant to be fun, interesting, and a taste of mathematics that you’ve never seen before! I hope that you enjoy it!

ADA: Students with disabilities can get assistance from the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (845-1637). I am happy to work with them and you.
