Textbook: Differential equations and dynamical systems, by Lawrence Perko, 3rd edition.

Course Description: Math 119A is the first course of a two quarter sequence in Ordinary Differential Equations. Topics include solutions of first order linear systems, existence and uniqueness of first order nonlinear systems, phase plane analysis, stability theory of equilibrium solutions, some qualitative theory. This material is covered in chapters 1-2 of the textbook.

Assignments and Grading Policy: Homework will be assigned on Fridays, and will be collected at the beginning of the class on the following Friday. Late homeworks will not be accepted. Please make sure that your name and perm number are written on your paper and staple your papers together.
