The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach undergraduate or graduate Mathematics courses. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The first review date is February 01, 2020.

The number of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from one quarter to one year with the possibility of reappointment depending on performance and further departmental need. We are seeking applicants for the 2020-21 academic year and summer 2020.

Qualifications: For the positions, candidates must possess a Master’s, preferably a PhD. in Mathematics, or a closely related field. The successful applicant will be a broadly trained mathematician who is dedicated to teaching.

Duties and Responsibilities: The lecturer position will involve teaching a range of courses in the Department of Mathematics, including both lower-division and upper division undergraduate courses.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
