4 credits. 3 lectures, 1 discussion per week.

Homework will be assigned at the end of each class and collected on every Friday. Note that selected homework problems (or similar) may be given on tests. This is why it is crucial for you to do the homework before each class and, moreover, remember the ideas and techniques used in your solutions.

Quizzes in discussion section:  Quizzes will be given in almost every discussion section.

Pop quizzes in lecture: There will be no make-ups. If you miss one for good reason you'll need to bring an official note (from your doctor or professor) and we'll average your quiz grade from your other quizzes.
