Homework will be assigned at the end of each class and
collected on every Friday. Note that selected homework problems (or similar) may
be given on tests. This is why it is crucial for you to do the homework before
each class and, moreover, remember the ideas and techniques used in your
solutions.
Quizzes in discussion
section: Quizzes will be given in
almost every discussion section.
Pop quizzes in lecture: There will be no make-ups.
If you miss one for good reason you'll need to bring an official note (from
your doctor or professor) and we'll average your quiz grade from your other
quizzes.
Tests: There will
be two one-hour midterms and one final exam.
