Background

This workshop is aimed at undergraduates who are trying to learn or wish to review introductory topology, focusing on point-set topology through the ideas of connectedness and compactness. It is coordinated with Math 145 but is open to any interested UCSB undergraduate. We will be working through problems from the classic (and very cheap) text Introduction to topology by Bert Mendelson, available from the UCSB bookstore or of course from Amazon.
