Demailly observed that a hyperbolic manifold has an interesting algebraic property. He called this "algebraic hyperbolicity" in his Santa Cruz lecture. We will extend his definition of algebraic hyperbolicity from projective cases to quasi-projective cases and prove some classes of quasi-projective varieties are algebraically hyperbolic.
