      The topic and reading assignments for each lecture can be found in the Syllabus, Reading Assignments, Problem Sets.

    • Homework/Problems Sets:
      There is a problem set due every week class.
      The problem sets will be due on Fridays, 8am (or on Thursdays, 8pm if Friday is scheduled for a Midterm).
      You'll submit your answers using WeBWorks.

      No late homework will be accepted.

    • Exams:
      There will be two midterms and a final exam.
      The first midterm took place on Friday, 02/01/08.
      The second midterm took place on Friday, 02/29/08.
      The final exam for the morning class will take place on Saturday, 03/22/08, 8-11am.
      The final exam for the afternoon class will take place on Thursday, 03/20/08, 4-7pm.
      Both finals will take place in EMBAR HALL.
      You will be required to show your student ID during all exams.
      Calculators, notes, or formula sheets are not allowed in any exams.

    • Grading:
      On every exam Quality Bonus Points will be awarded for clear writing. The weighting of your final grade will be 20% from your problem sets, 30% from the two midterms, 50% from the final. The total score is the main factor in your grade; in addition, to pass Math 3B, you have to pass the final.
