Problem Sets:: There will be weekly problem sets. These problem sets are an important part of this course, and students are encouraged to complete them promptly.
Makeup Classes:: There was no class on Monday, November 17. Instead, there was a makeup class on Wednesday, November 19 at 7 pm.
Exams:: There will be a midterm exam and a final exam.; The midterm exam was held in class on Wednesday, October 29.; The final exam will be a "take-home" exam, distributed in class on Friday, December 5, and due at the end of the scheduled exam period (11 am, Tuesday, December 9).
Grading:: Problem sets, 50%; Midterm exam, 20%; Final exam, 30%
