How Landscape Forms
Abstract
Most people have sometime in their life pondered how landscape is
formed. In this talk we try to answer that and related questions
using two nonlinear partial differential equations, describing the
conservation of water and sediment. The results indicate the beginning
of a truly infinite-dimensional dynamical systems theory, that does not
reduce to ordinary differential equations.
