Research

We work on problems in the area of soft condensed matter physics and biophysics using approaches from statistical mechanics, stochastic analysis, and scientific computation.

We are also interested in the development of general computational methods and mathematical analysis approaches for Stochastic Partial Differential Equations (SPDEs) important in these problem areas.

Specific research areas include:

  • fluctuating hydrodynamics
  • fluid-structure interaction
  • soft materials and complex fluids (gels and lipid bilayer membranes)
  • biophysics (motor proteins, lipid bilayers, microtubules)
  • electrokinetics in micro/nanofluidic devices

My work can be classified broadly as:

  • Stochastic Analysis
  • Statistical Physics
  • Numerical Analysis
  • Scientific Computing.
