FINAL EXAM: Thursday, Aug.02nd, 11am-12:05pm, in
class. You may use one 3x5 notecard (both sides).
Please bring one big bluebook.
BACKGROUND NEEDED: Math 8 is necessary. If you have not taken
any number theory course, all we need is Chapter 0, so I strongly
recommend reading it. If you have not taken any linear algebra (like
Math 108a) it is better to learn the multiplication for 2x2 matrices
(wich comes up in courses like 3C or 5 series) since GL(2,R) (group of
2x2 matrices with non-zero determinant) is a very good and rich
example.
