The department is delighted to announce a very generous contribution from David Hyde. David received his B.S. in Mathematics from UCSB and attributes much of his professional and personal success to his experiences as a math major. While at UCSB, David completed a math research project on knot theory and enjoyed a number of math courses, including the graph theory and abstract algebra sequences. David is grateful for the mentorship, teaching, and research opportunities provided by the department, and he's very excited to help support the next generation of UCSB mathematicians with a scholarship, the details of which will be announced soon.
