You can also use "Calculus: early transcendentals, single variable", 6th edition  by  Stewart. Then the covered chapters would be chapter 5-8.

 Homework
- Math is not a spectator sport. The only way to learn calculus is to do it. Therefore, online  homework will be assigned every week at webwork, and it is due every Thursday at 12 p.m.

Exams - There will be two in-class midterms, and one final. The schedule of exams is as follows:

                                Midterm I         Wednesday,  April 30th, 11:00-11:50 p.m.
                                Midterm  II       Friday,  May 23th, 11:00-11:50 p.m.
                                Final exam         Thursday, June 12th,  12-3 p.m.

No makeup exam is given for any missed exam. You will receive a 0 for your grade  if you miss an exam. The only exception is that  you have a serious illness or emergency .  In this case, You need to provide me with appropriate documents and the grade of the final exam will count as the grade for the missed exam.

Quizzes - There are 4 or 5 quizzes which will be given in discussion sessions.
